Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Here, you’ll have a briefing on the safari itinerary and get prepared for the exciting journey ahead.
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, you’ll head out early from Arusha towards Tarangire National Park. Known for its giant elephant herds and iconic baobab trees, you’ll enjoy an afternoon game drive in this beautiful park. Overnight at a lodge or tented camp in or around the park.
Day 3: Full Day in Tarangire National Park
Spend the day exploring the Tarangire National Park, where you’ll have the chance to spot lions, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests. The park is particularly famous for its large elephant populations. Enjoy another overnight stay at your lodge or camp.
Day 4: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park
On Day 4, you’ll drive from Tarangire to Serengeti National Park, with an optional brief stop at the Ngorongoro Crater for some photo opportunities or a short game drive. After arrival, you’ll enjoy a relaxing evening or an evening game drive in Serengeti. Overnight at a lodge or tented camp within the Serengeti.
Day 5: Full Day in Serengeti National Park
The day is dedicated to exploring the vast plains of Serengeti National Park, home to an incredible array of wildlife, including lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Depending on the season, you may witness the Great Migration of wildebeests. You may also choose to take a hot air balloon safari for a unique aerial view of the Serengeti. Overnight at a lodge or tented camp in Serengeti.
Day 6: Full Day in Serengeti National Park
Another full day of game drives awaits in Serengeti. Explore different regions of the park, from the Seronera Valley (if you’re staying near central Serengeti) to quieter areas that offer great opportunities for wildlife photography. Overnight at a lodge or tented camp in Serengeti.
Day 7: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
On Day 7, enjoy a morning game drive in Serengeti before heading towards the Ngorongoro Crater. Upon arrival, check into your accommodation and relax, taking in the stunning views of the crater rim. Overnight at a lodge or tented camp on the crater rim.
Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater Safari
Spend the day exploring the famous Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site home to some of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa, including rhinos, elephants, buffaloes, and lions. You can also visit Olduvai Gorge or Crater Lake for additional exploration. Overnight at a lodge or tented camp on the crater rim.
Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater to Zanzibar
On Day 9, catch a morning flight from Arusha to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your beach resort or hotel in Zanzibar, where the rest of the day is at leisure to relax or explore the island. Overnight at your Zanzibar accommodation.
Day 10: Spice Tour & Stone Town Exploration
Spend the morning on a Spice Tour, visiting local spice plantations to learn about Zanzibar’s history in spice trade. In the afternoon, explore Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, visiting historic landmarks like the House of Wonders, Freddie Mercury’s birthplace, and the Old Fort. Overnight in Zanzibar at your resort.
Day 11: Beach Day in Zanzibar
Enjoy a full day of relaxation at one of Zanzibar’s famous beaches, such as Nungwi or Paje. Take part in optional water activities like snorkeling, diving, or a sunset dhow cruise. Overnight at your beach resort in Zanzibar.
Day 12: Zanzibar – Departure
On your final day, enjoy a relaxing morning before your transfer to Zanzibar International Airport for your departure flight, bringing your incredible bush-to-beach adventure to an end.
