Day 1: Arrival in Arusha – Welcome to Tanzania
Touch down at Kilimanjaro International Airport where your safari begins. You’ll be met by a guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Depending on arrival time, enjoy a relaxing evening or an optional local excursion.
Day 2: Into the Wilderness – Tarangire National Park
Depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park, known for its dense elephant population, ancient baobab trees, and scenic savannahs. Spend the afternoon on your first game drive and overnight at a lodge or tented camp near the park.
Day 3: Wildlife and Waterbirds – Lake Manyara National Park
Drive to Lake Manyara, a compact park with rich biodiversity. Explore groundwater forests, lakefront plains, and acacia woodlands as you search for tree-climbing lions, elephants, and flocks of flamingos. Overnight in Karatu, near the Ngorongoro Highlands.
Day 4: Highlands to the Plains – Enter Serengeti National Park
Journey through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward the iconic Serengeti National Park. Along the way, enjoy sweeping views and optional visits to Olduvai Gorge or a Maasai village. Arrive in Central Serengeti for an afternoon game drive.
Day 5: Big Cats & Big Herds – Central Serengeti Safari
Spend the full day on safari in the Seronera region of Serengeti, famous for its predator population. Watch lions, cheetahs, and leopards in action while large herds of wildebeest and zebras graze nearby. Optional sunrise balloon safari available.
Day 6: Following the Migration – Move to Seasonal Hotspot
Depending on the time of year, transfer to either the Northern Serengeti (July–October) for dramatic Mara River crossings or the Southern Serengeti/Ndutu area (December–March) to witness calving season. Enjoy game drives en route and settle into a seasonal mobile camp.
Day 7: Migration Marvels – Full Day in Northern or Southern Serengeti
Enjoy a full day in the heart of the Great Migration. Track massive herds, witness predator-prey interactions, and soak in the raw energy of this seasonal spectacle. Overnight in your camp, surrounded by the wild.
Day 8: Crater Rim Views – Travel to Ngorongoro Highlands
Leave the Serengeti behind and head back toward the Ngorongoro Crater. Stop along the way for cultural encounters or photo opportunities, and arrive at your lodge perched on the crater rim, offering breathtaking views and a peaceful night above the caldera.
Day 9: Final Safari – Ngorongoro Crater & Return to Arusha
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater early for one of Africa’s best game drives. This collapsed volcano is home to lions, elephants, buffalos, hippos, and the rare black rhino—all within a compact, scenic environment. After lunch, return to Arusha for your evening flight or overnight stay, marking the end of your unforgettable Tanzanian journey.
